Swimming in open water (lakes, rivers, etc.) is more difficult than in a pool. You can get exhausted in a short amount of time and get into trouble due to waves, current, lack of experience, or from overestimating your abilities. Even strong swimmers can drown so Please Wear It

We are incredibly thankful to be selected as a recipient of the proceeds from this year’s Mohawk Golf Classic!

A special thank you goes out to the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants who work so hard each year to make this event a success.

The proceeds from this event will have a significant impact on our fire department and will help us continue providing service to those who live in and visit our community.

Significant severe weather, capable of producing strong tornadoes, significant damaging winds, and large hail is likely for S IA and N MO this afternoon. Storms look to arrive around 4-5pm and continue to impact our area for a few hours.

Flooding will also be possible as multiple rounds of storms hit.

Members of MF&R partnered with the American Red Cross to install free smoke alarms in homes throughout our community.

Working smoke alarms are one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your family. They provide early warning in the event of a fire, giving occupants valuable time to escape safely. Having working smoke alarms on every level of your home and outside sleeping areas can make a life-saving difference.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the residents who welcomed us into their homes and allowed us to install these smoke alarms. We also want to thank the American Red Cross for providing the alarms and for their continued commitment to fire safety and community preparedness.
