Moorpark Cub Scouts Pack 3601

Moorpark Cub Scouts Pack 3601 Welcome to the Cub Scout Pack 3601 serving the Moorpark area (first through fifth graders) What is Cub Scouting? Why not come along and find out?

Cub Scouting is part of the Scouting program of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), available to boys from first through fifth-grade, or 7 to 11½ years of age and their families. It aims to promote character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Cub Scouts have a lot of fun doing a lot of interesting things! There are games to play, codes and skills to learn, places to see and new

friends to meet. Cub Scouts all help each other, and try to help other people too. During a month you'll get together with other boys your age and be led into adventure! You'll wear your own Cub Scout uniform to show you're one of us. And you'll be able to collect special badges to put on your uniform to show your achievements. We do things like camping, fishing, and exploring. We go to sports meetings, visit factories, go to the zoo, the museum, or the fire department headquarters, race the Pinewood Derby Cars, and even do service projects. We also get to take part in parades and other community activities as well as many sports, crafts and visits. There's a lot more Cub Scouts do too.

General information

We recommend that you and your son come for a visit to see if he would enjoy our Den/Pack Meetings. Please message us to find out when and where=) If you decide you would like to join our Pack, we will have our friendly and helpful Membership Coordinator hand you a welcome pack for you to fill out. If you have any questions our Membership Coordinator or any of our other committee members will be able to assist you with any questions. The cost is currently $24 to join, plus pack dues, and we will then tell you which uniform he needs (The cost of the uniform runs about $75 and is available at the scout store in Camarillo) We also have a $2 in monthly dues that go toward awards and patches that each scout achieves. Cub Scouting members join a Cub Scout pack and are assigned to a den, usually a neighborhood group of six to eight boys. Tiger Cubs (first-graders), Wolf Cub Scouts (second graders), Bear Cub Scouts (third graders), and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth graders) meet weekly. Once a month, all of the dens and family members gather for a pack meeting under the direction of a Cubmaster and pack committee. The committee includes parents of boys in the pack and members of the chartered organization.
