PODCAST UPDATE: Monday's October 26th episode will be the last of season 9. At the end of that episode, you'll hear that we were not sure what the November episodes were going to be and to "check out social media for updates." Well, this is that glorious update. No episodes in November & December. A series of conflicts got in the way for November and December we are usually on break anyway.

Today would have been Carrie Fisher's 70th birthday. Damn, I miss "Space Mom." But I can't be said, because Carrie made everything funny. She said, "If my life wasn’t funny, it would just be true, and that is unacceptable." She taught us to rebel with humor. She taught us to heal with laughter. She allowed us to hold something tragic, unfair, fantastic, and magical all in the same breath. Carrie Fisher was my unintentional role model, and in 2019 I recorded a podcast episode that tries to capture just how much she shaped the lives of so many. Yes, I made a film called Leah Not Leia where I tried to separate from her, but in the end, I wish I had more time with her; she had great rebellious wisdom.
