We are working on starting a no kill shelter/animal sanctuary for the stray cats within Wayne County possibly expanding to the surrounding counties. With any feral cats, we will be following the TNR method (trap neuter release). We are currently in need of a building that the owner is willing to donate the use of as a tax write off as well as a veterinarian that is also willing to donate their time and skill as a tax write off. We want to make sure that the stray cats get the wellness check up they need as well as neuter/spay. The feral ones we will release back to where we got them. For the kittens that we know are weaned from their mother and have not became feral we plan on adopting them out once they have had their wellness check up as well as neuter/spay. Anyone that has suggestions or knows of buildings or veterinarians that would be willing to help us. Please let us know. Also, anyone who is willing to donate toward getting things that are needed to go within the building once we have time it of course, whether it be food, volunteering, kennels, or money, however, we would prefer the items. But of course the money could go toward electric and water because I would say that the Electric Company and water company is not going to donate those services as a tax right off. We will also be holding fundraisers through social media, as well as in person. We will be selling items that I have made where all the money would go toward the sanctuary. Any help we could get would be greatly appreciated. Even if it’s just sharing the page and spreading the word. I would like to thank you ahead of time for all of your support.
