In frightening circumstances such as the storm we are going to be experiencing, it's important to know when to call 911 and when to use other resources to keep lines open so our dispatchers can help you and others in urgent need.

Call 911
✅ If you or someone else needs immediate medical attention
✅ If something is on fire
✅ Criminal activity that is causing immediate harm or death
✅ If you are in or see a vehicle accident and there are injuries or persons trapped

🚫 For weather or road condition reports

As this winter weather system comes in, safety on the roads is more important than ever.

🚗 Leave extra space – Leave more room between you and the car ahead—things can change quickly on slick roads.
🚗 Turn on headlights – Make sure your headlights are on for better visibility, especially in low-light or snowy conditions.
🚗 Emergency kit ready – Keep essentials like blankets, water, snacks, and a phone charger in your car, just in case.
🚗 Slow and steady – There’s no need to rush—give yourself extra time to reach your destination safely.
🚗 Avoid cruise control – Stay in control of your car on slippery roads by keeping your foot on the pedal.
🚗 Report any wrecks – If you’re involved in an accident or see an accident happen, call 911 for help.
🚗 Use good judgement – If the roads look too dangerous, it's okay to wait until conditions improve.

We have already had multiple roll over accidents and many other vehicles sliding off the roadway. The roads are very icy and we are still getting freezing rain in many areas. We are asking everyone to PLEASE STAY OFF THE ROADS.
