Today we invite you to remember, to listen, to share, and to connect. If you have been personally affected by overdose, please know that you are not alone. Your story matters and your loved one matters.

Join us as we come together for Overdose Awareness Day to remember those we have lost, support those whose lives have been impacted by substance use, and remind our community that recovery, hope, and healing are possible.

This is an opportunity to come together, share stories, honor lives, and strengthen our commitment to preventing overdose and supporting individuals and families affected by addiction.

Everyone is welcome. Whether you have been personally impacted, work in the field, are in recovery, or simply want to stand alongside your community, we invite you to join us.

Let’s come together with compassion, without judgment, and with a shared commitment to remember, educate, support, and prevent.

Please share this invitation with your friends, family, coworkers, and community. We hope to see you there.

We’re so grateful to see the Comeback Café highlighted in the Monticello Herald Journal!

A special thank you to the Community Foundation of White County and the author, Kaleb Kiester, for sharing the story of the Café and the impact it is having in our community. The Community Foundation of White County has not only helped tell our story, but has also been an important funding partner in making the work of the Comeback Café possible.

Since opening in 2024, the Café has grown into a place where people can find connection, friendship, support, and loving accountability. That growth is because of our Members, volunteers, community partners, funders, and everyone who believes that people deserve a place to belong.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to invest in the vision of the Comeback Café and in the people we serve.

Thank you for believing in us, believing in our Members, and believing in the power of community.

Recovery is a journey, and no one has to walk it alone.

How do we become whole again? What is the opposite of addiction? How do we find our way and push forward? At the Comeback Cafe, they believe the answer to

A recent New York Times article highlights a growing movement of drug and alcohol-free social spaces where people gather to build friendships, enjoy great food and coffee, attend events, and simply belong—without the expectation to drink. It's a reminder that meaningful connection doesn't require alcohol; it requires community.

That's exactly what we're building at the Comeback Café.

Whether you're in recovery, supporting someone who is, or simply looking for a welcoming place to connect, you'll find a community where everyone belongs. Recovery isn't just about what we leave behind—it's about rediscovering joy, purpose, and genuine connection.

We'd love to welcome you to the café. Come see what community can look like. 💜

A growing number of clubs see community as the antidote to relapse.
