🇺🇸 VFW SMITH-WYNN POST 96 – STILL SERVING 🇺🇸

On May 16, 2026, VFW Smith-Wynn Post 96 is proud to participate in the VFW National Day of Service in support of an incredible organization — Camp Corral.

Today’s VFW members are still serving. Long after the uniform comes off, veterans across America continue answering the call through service to their communities, fellow veterans, military families, and neighbors in need.

“Still Serving” is more than a slogan, it represents the heart of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the ongoing commitment of veterans who continue to lead through action, sacrifice, and compassion.

That spirit of service is exactly why supporting Camp Corral is so important to us.

Camp Corral is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to transform the lives of children of our nation’s wounded, ill, and fallen military heroes. Since 2011, Camp Corral has served nearly 29,000 military-connected children across all 50 states through resilience-based programs designed to help them heal, grow, and thrive.

These children often face challenges many people never see, coping with deployments, injuries, loss, and the daily realities of military family life. Camp Corral provides opportunities for adventure, confidence-building, peer support, and life-changing friendships that remind military children they are never alone.

In addition to traditional summer camp experiences, Camp Corral offers family retreats, therapeutic art programs, peer connection activities, and supportive services focused on strengthening military families.

As veterans, this mission is deeply personal to us. We understand the sacrifices military families make every day, and we are honored to do our part to support the children of America’s heroes.

We invite our community to come out, enjoy a great meal at Golden Corral, and help contribute to a truly meaningful cause. Every donation helps make a difference in the life of a military child.
