The reasons why we chose to create this program is clear and simple; violence, murder, drug and alcohol, AIDS and My name is Anthony Taylor [CEO] and I reside in Montgomery, Alabama. Our children are exposed to an astronomical amount of violence, peer pressure, drug abuse and sexual abuse each and every day throughout our communitiesHIV. Crime is literally destroying our communities and our childr
en are being left behind. AIDS and HIV have killed more people last year than guns, drugs, natural deaths, and other illnesses and diseases. We are seeking sponsors that will help us make this project successful by donating their time, effort, resources, and/or financial assistance. MAPs (Music Against Problems) is designed to take a stand against those who seek to destroy the lives of our children through music. The television, radio, magazines, and other publications point to the low standards that our youth have embraced. We believe that our project, MAPs Music Against Problems with the incorporation of poetry, will expose these issues to our children. In doing so, it will help our youth to understand and become more aware of these random predators. Once again we need your assistance and support. My colleagues and I are working hard to make this a positive, life changing experience, as well as fun. MAPs (Music Against Problems) will encourage children to communicate with other children as they explore, discuss, and debate their hopes and dreams as our “Leaders of tomorrow.”
MAPs (Music Against Problems) will seek to serve children in all communities regardless of race, color, and gender. We will work to bring diversity through education. So, it will enlighten our children to seek artistic, cultural, and educational opportunities. Although, this may not be the first project to help assist children with issues they face each day, we will work hard to make this project known throughout the state of Alabama and beyond. MAPs (Music Against Problems) will make history. This project will reach our youth through music and poetry. Eventually, it is our hope to have children perform at talent shows in various communities, while showcasing positive images through their songs and poetry. It is the goal of MAPs (Music Against Problems) to help Children see their dreams come to life and not waste away. Please join us as we encourage today's youth and future generations to come. Several
organizations such as Wal-Mart, BET, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Calhoun Foods, Winn-Dixie, local
Radio Stations, Montgomery Advertiser, Tuskegee Times, and WSFA have pledged to donate and/or sponsor funds, equipment and their time as needed to support our events. We also have the commitment from local Community Leaders, Small Business Owner's, Educators, Religious Leaders, Politicians, Farmers, Musicians, Mothers, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters to get involved once our project is up and running. Thank you in advance for your time, patience, and help. Sincerely,
Anthony Taylor
