✨Congratulations, Audrey Crawford - Teach for Tomorrow Grant Recipient! ✨

Audrey Crawford, an educator at Montgomery Christian School, is dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for her students. Her project will introduce diverse books, learning games, puzzles, and outdoor educational materials designed to spark curiosity and promote literacy, numeracy, creativity, and hands-on exploration. By fostering an engaging and supportive classroom, Ms. Crawford is helping her students feel inspired and empowered to grow both academically and socially. ✨Congratulations, Nia Pagniacci - Teach for Tomorrow Grant Recipient✨

Nia Pagniacci, an educator at Dalraida Elementary School, is making a powerful impact through her project, “Calm, Connect, and Thrive.” We loved visiting with her and her team to celebrate this inspiring initiative, which supports K–6 students facing emotional, behavioral, and social challenges. With the help of this grant, Ms. P will create a sensory and social-emotional learning station equipped with calming tools, emotional regulation aids, and SEL resources to help students self-regulate, refocus, and thrive in the classroom. We are eager to see this project in the works! Thank you for all that you do to empower our youth!

The Calm, Connect & Thrive initiative will establish a structured, in-class sensory and social-emotional learning (SEL) station equipped with calming tools, emotional regulation aids, and SEL literature to help students self-regulate, refocus, and re-engage with learning. This initiative will promote inclusion, reduce behavioral disruptions, and foster a safer, more supportive environment for all learners.

Details: This project will help cover expenses for Prattville High School’s JROTC drill team, including uniform alterations, competition fees, transportation, and meals. A portion of the funds will support their planned trip to the 2026 Air Force JROTC Drill Nationals at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. Drill team participation instills discipline, leadership, and confidence in cadets while giving them the opportunity to showcase their hard work and skills on a national stage.

Details: “My Future, My Plan” is a student-led, project-based learning unit designed to equip over 50 high school students in Lowndes County with real-world skills, postsecondary awareness, and professional confidence. Through career research, action planning, and engagement with local leaders, students will gain clarity about their futures, from college, careers, military service, or entrepreneurship. This grant will support technology, mental health spaces, and field experiences that help close opportunity gaps and empower students to take charge of their paths forward.

Details: This project will fund the purchase of sensory toys and life skills essentials to support my students with Autism. Textured sensory items like beanbags, sand, and fidget toys provide a calming space when students are stimming, helping them regulate and refocus. Life skills materials, including basic kitchen items and simple food supplies, will be used in our Community-Based Instruction (CBI) Unit to teach students how to cook and build independence.
