CALLING ALL ARTISTS: LEAVE YOUR MARK ON DOWNTOWN MONTCLAIR 🎨

and are searching for one artist to bring a new mural to life in the heart of Downtown Montclair!

We’re inviting artists to submit their work for the opportunity to be selected as the featured artist for the Bangz x DWNTWN Mural Project.

This is more than a competition — it’s an opportunity to become part of Downtown Montclair’s creative landscape and create a piece of public art that will be seen and experienced by our community and visitors for years to come.

One artist will be chosen to:
* Paint the new Bangz x DWNTWN mural in Downtown Montclair
* Receive a $500 artist prize
* Be recognized as the featured artist of the mural project
* Have their work celebrated during our official Mural Reveal Party at Bangz Salon

TOP 6 FINALISTS
We also want to recognize the incredible talent within our creative community.

In addition to the selected mural artist, the next six finalists will each receive dedicated space on the show floor at Bangz Salon during the Mural Reveal Party to showcase their artwork and receive special recognition as finalists in the Bangz x DWNTWN Mural Artist Search.

Submission Deadline: September 11, 2026
Winner Announced: September 25, 2026
Mural Painting Begins: October 2-8, 2026
Reveal Party: October 18, 2026

It will be an evening celebrating not only the finished mural, but the artists and creativity that make our community special.

UPDATE ON THE CHURCH STREET PIANO 🎹

Last night, I spoke before the Montclair Town Council about the Church Street Piano and the continued effort to bring it back to its original home.

This is what I had to say.

I truly hope the Township hears the voices of our community and works with us to return the art piano in a fair and timely manner.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative, spoken up, shared your stories, and signed the petition. Your voices matter, and your support means more than you know.

The piano may be gone for now, but I’m still fighting to bring it back. 🎹❤️
