🏆 DISTRICT CHAMPIONSHIP GAMEDAY!! 🏆

Your 20-3 State bound Monroe Bearcats look to avenge their only WesCo 3A loss of the season, as they take on the 23-1 Edmonds-Woodway Warriors in the District 1 Championship game. Tip time is scheduled for 8:00 PM at Marysville-Pilchuck HS as the night cap of a 6 game district playoff frenzy. Tickets are available through the GoFan app as well as the link in our story. GO ‘CATS!!

WESCO CHAMPIONSHIP GAMEDAY! The wait is finally over, as your Bearcats (18-2, 10-0 WesCo) welcome Edmonds-Woodway (20-1, 11-1 WesCo) to Monroe for a North/South showdown for conference supremacy. The ‘Cats come in winners of 10 straight games, including running the table in the WesCo 3A North division. The Warriors have just one blemish on their record, and come in as the #2 ranked team in the 3A RPI ratings. Tip time is 7:00 PM at Monroe HS - pack the house and support your ‘Cats!

🏆 2025 WESCO 3A NORTH DIVISION CHAMPIONS! 🏆

On a Friday night in front of a packed house, the Monroe Bearcats had a night to remember, as they captured the WesCo 3A North crown with a 51-37 win over Marysville-Getchell. It was Senior Night, with the ‘Cats honoring their four seniors (and one senior manager), and securing the first regular season league championship for the program since 2011.

For the second straight time against the Chargers, it was the defense that carried the night, allowing just 37 points on 29% shooting. The Bearcats also won the rebounding battle 33-20, with junior Chayce Waite-Kellar leading the way with 18 boards. The ‘26 post also led Monroe in scoring with 14, going 7/11 from the field. Sophomore Isaiah Kiehl had 11 points, with junior Caleb Campbell (10 points), and senior Dylan Hall (9) leading yet another balanced offensive attack.

Monroe improves to 17-2 on the year, and will look to complete an undefeated WesCo campaign on Tuesday night, when they head to Marysville-Pilchuck for the regular season finale.

🚨 BIG GAME FRIDAY🚨 It’s Senior Night with the WesCo North title on the line, as the Bearcats (16-2, 8-0 WesCo) welcome Marysville-Getchell (13-5, 7-1) for a quad night. A win would secure the North division championship and a spot in next Thursday’s WesCo crossover title game. Join us for a fun night of basketball and a celebration of our 5 seniors!

BIG GAME ON TAP! Tomorrow, the Monroe Bearcats will host Marysville-Getchell on Senior Night - a special night to celebrate 5 seniors in our program. In addition, a ‘Cats win will secure the outright WesCo North championship and a spot in the WesCo North-South crossover title game next week.

We need the community and students support - these players deserve a packed house for their final regular season home game. GO ‘CATS!

Friday night’s game is Senior Night, and has the potential to be for the WesCo North division championship. Make your plans now to come out and support your ‘Cats in their playoff push!

In yet another dominant defensive performance, Monroe took command of a tight game in the second half, picking up a big road win at Marysville-Getchell on Friday night. The Bearcats held the Chargers to just 28% shooting on the night, allowing just 22 points through the game’s first three quarters.

The big difference in the ‘Cats win was rebounding. Monroe more than doubled up Getchell on the boards, outpacing them 42-19 on the glass, while holding them to just 2 offensive rebounds. Junior Chayce Waite-Keller was the primary reason, matching the Chargers entire team output on the glass with 19 rebounds - 15 on the defensive end.

Junior Wyatt Prohn led the Bearcats in scoring with 12, while senior Kieren Greear chipped in with 9. The win puts Monroe in sole possession of first place in the WesCo North division, improving their league record to 3-0, and their overall record to 11-2. They will continue league play next Tuesday, hitting the road once again to take on rival Snohomish.

It’s GAME DAY in the desert, as the Monroe Bearcats (7-0) start play in the 2024 Cactus Jam against Central Bucks East from Pennsylvania. The action gets underway at 11:00 AM pacific time (12:00 PM mountain time), with the ‘Cats looking to remain unbeaten. The game (along with the entire tournament) is available to stream at the link in our bio (subscription required).

The C and JV teams are also in action back home, taking on Inglemoor in the Mountlake Terrace holiday tournament. Tip times are at 9:00 AM (C) and 10:30 AM (JV) respectively.

Friday night is Alumni Night, as your 6-0 Bearcats play host to the Newport Knights from the KingCo conference. We would like to invite all alumni to come and be a part of our tripleheader, supporting the 2024-25 version of the Bearcats! The C-Team & JV will get the festivities started at 4:00 PM & 5:40 PM respectively, with the Varsity tip at 7:15 PM. Spread the word and come out to cheer on your ‘Cats!
