We really regret having to make this post!
Why do certain individuals feel it's ok to steal from our store?
We've noticed this more lately...we discovered this week that our dressing room has become victim to theft.
Hidden hangers, clothing tags in the trash & on the floor behind the sink.
The saying one bad ๐ ruins it for everyone.
We will have to go back to monitoring everyone going into the dressing room.
Please from this point on, show one of our 2 staff members how many items you are taking into the dressing room & return the items you aren't buying to the staff so we can put it back into the correct location.
We've had this problem in the past where we had to lock our dressing room up & use a key. We really prefer not to go back to that practice as we want customers to be able to try on clothing.
If this doesn't stop the theft we will be forced to close our dressing room permanently.
This would be very unfortunate for all of our customers๐ฅบ
**IF you notice suspicious activity anywhere in the store please let our staff know immediately.
We have so much to do while we are open to get the product out, it sure is a shame that we have to become the thief police.
We have 2 paid employees plus jolly Jill part time on Saturday. The rest are volunteers & non-paid Board members.
We don't add more paid staff because that just hurts our profits for the store, in turn the animal shelter.
In addition we just purchased 6 more surveillance cameras which cost us money and takes from our profit for the shelter.
If anyone reading this feels like it's ok to steal from the homeless animals from the Humane Society of Amherst County please do not come back to our store. You're not helping our mission to fund the shelter.
End of rant, sorry if this offends anyone, we love our customers!
The cats love our customers! but we can't tolerate theft.
Found this shirt today on the rack, it seemed like a sign, enough is enough.
