Pilot Club of the Twin Cities Pilot Club of the Twin Cities is an organization of business and professional women who take an active part in making the Twin Cities a better place to live.

Chartered in 1980 by the Pilot Club of Monroe, Louisiana, the Pilot Club of the Twin Cities has long been known for its innovative initiatives to friendship and service throughout Monroe, West Monroe and Ouachita Parish. The Pilot Club of the Twin Cities was the first organization in Ouachita Parish to answer the call of President Reagan for clubs and businesses to adopt schools in their community

to offer support to them financially and in any other capacity as needed. In 1985 the Pilot Club of the Twin Cities adopted Lida Benton Elementary School as its first adopted school. Lida Benton has since closed and the Pilot Club of the Twin Cities now has Lakeshore Elementary and Riverbend Elementary Schools as its adopted schools. While busy sharing friendship and service through such projects as a School Supplies drive for Riverbend and Lakeshore Elementary, Alzheimer's Memory Walk, Wellspring care packages and activities with our Veterans at the the NELA War Vet home. We get busy each spring, when we participate with the West Monroe Police Department, bicycle safety day, by providing helmets and safety information. Then in the fall, we participate with Louisiana TBI Camp Fleur de lis; a weekend camp for adult survivors of traumatic brain injury. Miss Heart of Pilot/Miss Twin Cities is sponsored by the Pilot Club of Twin Cities as part MLO (Miss Louisiana Organization)

Today, as the world sparkles in shades of green and laughter dances through the air, we pause to honor something deeper… something steadier than luck.

To our Veterans—You are not symbols of chance, but of courage chosen. Not stories of fortune, but of sacrifice written in real time.

While shamrocks remind us of blessings, you remind us of freedom—hard-earned, fiercely protected, and never taken lightly.

Because of you, we gather freely.Because of you, we celebrate boldly.Because of you, this day is more than festive… it is free.

So today, between the parades and the clover and the cheer,we lift a heartfelt thank you to those who stood in places we could not,who carried burdens we may never fully understand, and who came home with stories etched into their souls.

May your courage be remembered, your service be honored, and your legacy be carried forward—long after the green fades from the day.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day… and with deepest gratitude, thank you to our Veterans 🇺🇸🍀
