Our hearts are heavy with the devastating news from Camp Mystic and the surrounding areas. đź’™
Camp Mystic holds a special place in the hearts of many Kappas. The camp and Kappa have longstanding ties that have been intertwined over generations. Owner and executive director Tweety Albritton Eastland, Texas, has been at the helm of the camp for decades, touching the lives of thousands of campers and counselors. For many campers, those bonds of friendship were the start of a lifetime of connection that continued with sisterhood in Kappa Kappa Gamma.
We are struck by the strength, resilience, and heart of our community, especially during times like these. In moments like this, Kappas show up for each other.
Resources from Kappa to support you during this time:
đź’™ Talkspace therapy services
Kappa has a partnership with Talkspace, an online platform that makes it convenient to access mental health resources. If you or a Kappa you know and love needs to talk with someone, we encourage you to explore Talkspace’s options. Thanks to a grant from the Kappa Foundation, collegiate Kappas receive free access and alumnae receive 25% off with code Kappa25. Get started at talkspace.com/kappa.
đź’™ Rose McGill Grants
The Rose McGill Grant program helps members facing unexpected financial hardship. This confidential aid is another way we lift each other up as sisters.
