Our Parent Ambassador Meghan and her lovely family had a wonderful time attending the Rock Island Public Library's Summer Reading Kickoff at the Quad City Botanical Center!

The event was filled with fun, learning, and excitement as families kicked off a summer of reading and exploration. Meghan enjoyed connecting with families, sharing information about AOK, and celebrating the many opportunities available to support children’s learning all summer long.

Thank you to the Rock Island Public Library and the Quad City Botanical Center for hosting such a fantastic community event. We love seeing families engaged, learning, and making memories together!

Thank You for Joining Us!

We had a wonderful time at our Plant a Seed event in partnership with the Silvis Public Library!

Families enjoyed story time featuring All the Rocks We Love and Don't Touch That Flower!, followed by a fun rock-painting activity that allowed children to get creative while celebrating nature and growth.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. We also want to extend a special thank you to the Silvis Public Library for having us and providing a welcoming space for families to learn, create, and connect.

We loved spending the evening together and we look forward to partnering again!

🌈📚 Pride Month is a wonderful time to explore books that celebrate the many ways families are created through love, care, and connection.

Whether you're reading at home, visiting the library, or adding new titles to your bookshelf, inclusive books can open the door to meaningful conversations and help children grow into compassionate, understanding people.

Mental health matters at every age.

We're excited to share that our Mental Health Resource Bags are being distributed to community partners and are making their way to families throughout Rock Island County!

Each bag is filled with resources and activities designed to help children and caregivers build emotional awareness, develop positive coping skills, and navigate big feelings together. From calming tools and affirmation activities to emotional vocabulary resources and local support information, these kits provide practical ways to support social-emotional well-being at home.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations across our community to get these resources into the hands of families. We hope these bags serve as a reminder that support is available and that mental health is an important part of overall family well-being.

Today, we had the opportunity to gather with our incredible network of community partners to share updates, discuss ongoing initiatives, and learn about the great work happening throughout Rock Island County.

These monthly meetings are a valuable opportunity to strengthen connections, collaborate on ways to support children and families, and stay informed about resources available in our community.

A special thank you to Birth to Five Illinois: Region 49 for joining us and presenting today! We appreciate the work you do to support families and young children and are grateful for the partnership and information you shared with our network.
