Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend the Jason Penix Family Foundation meeting last night.

Every person who shows up, shares an idea, volunteers their time, or simply continues to support what we are doing means more to us than you probably realize.

This foundation was created from an incredible loss, but each meeting reminds me that something meaningful continues to grow from Jason’s memory.

We reviewed updates from our committees, talked about our outreach efforts, and discussed ways we can continue connecting people and families with testing, information, resources, and support. We also began looking ahead to potential events for 2027 and ways we can continue expanding our reach.

There is still so much work to do, but I am incredibly grateful that we don't have to do it alone. Every conversation started, every person who learns the symptoms, and every family we are able to help makes this work worth doing.

Our next meeting will be November 9, with the location to be determined.

Thank you for continuing to believe in our mission, for helping us keep Jason’s memory alive, and for standing beside our family as we turn our loss into purpose.

Together, we will keep spreading awareness, encouraging early detection, and doing everything we can to make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who requested ducks! We dispersed more than 250 of them just last week. We are busy making more and will continue working to fill every request. Every duck that gets placed is another opportunity for someone to scan the QR code, learn the symptoms, and understand the importance of early detection. That is exactly why we keep doing this work.

A reminder that our next Jason Penix Family Foundation meeting will be September 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Missing Falls Brewery Event Room. We welcome anyone who would like to learn more, get involved, or help us continue spreading awareness.

Our focus remains outreach, education, and making sure more people recognize the symptoms of pancreatic cancer and understand the importance of early detection. Even with promising breakthroughs and new medications, there is still so much work to be done. Progress gives us hope, but awareness can make a difference right now.

We also have wristbands and hi-vis foundation shirts available for anyone who would like to wear them and help share our message. Sometimes a shirt, a wristband, a duck, or a simple conversation can reach someone who needs to hear it.

Together, we can make a difference. One person, one conversation, one family at a time.

And today, we ask you to hug your loved ones a little tighter.

A local family is facing the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to someone they love after losing them to this disease. Our hearts are with them as they begin navigating a road we know far too well. They are in our hearts and prayers, and we hope they feel the love and support of the community surrounding them.

This is why we keep going. For Jason. For every family fighting. For every family grieving. And for the hope that awareness and early detection may help another family have more time.

This weekend, Nate (Jason's brother), along with friends Matt and Tom, completed the PanOhio Hope Ride, cycling approximately 328 miles from Cleveland to Cincinnati.

They rode in honor of the family and friends they've lost and in support of those who are currently fighting cancer.

For every mile of the journey, Nate carried some of Jason's ashes with him. One day, he proudly wore a Jason Penix Family Foundation jersey, helping spread awareness for pancreatic cancer and our mission of early detection and support.

As they traveled across Ohio, they also left our signature awareness ducks at:
• John Carroll University
• The College of Wooster
• Otterbein University
• Wright State University
• Larkin Airfield

We are incredibly proud of their dedication, strength, and commitment to honoring Jason's memory while bringing awareness to a disease that impacts far too many families. Thank you, Nate, Matt, and Tom, for carrying our mission across Ohio—one mile at a time.

A group of three friends from Medina County will be cycling across the state of Ohio on the Pan Ohio Hope Ride this week to support people who have been diagnosed with cancer.

We know that many families in our community and across the country have been impacted by pancreatic cancer and continue to grieve the loss of someone who fought this disease with incredible strength.

We would be honored to help preserve their memory by sharing their story on the Jason Penix Family Foundation Memorial Wall.

If you would like to include your loved one, please submit a photograph along with a paragraph telling us about their life, the person they were, and the legacy they left behind.

Every story helps honor their memory and reminds others that they are never forgotten.

Thank you seems so small compared to everything you did to make our first golf outing such a success.

We are truly grateful for the incredible support from our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who helped in any way. The success of this event is a direct reflection of your generosity, dedication, and belief in our mission.

We appreciate all of your participation and the feedback you've shared. We are already looking forward to planning our 2027 golf outing and hope you'll join us again.
