The Escambia County High School High Tech students are on the move!

Goodwill Career Readiness Navigator Sjada Williams led field trips to The University of West Florida and The Air Force Armament Museum.

The students toured the University of West Florida, explored the campus, learned more about college life, and experienced what a future in higher education could look like. ✨ The Air Force Armament Museum is the only museum in the world dedicated to the exhibition of memorabilia associated with Air Force Armament and the students were fascinated.

High School High Tech, funded by The Able Trust, is a Goodwill Gulf Coast program that provides youth ages 14 to 19 with disabilities the opportunities and resources they need to graduate from high school and pursue in demand careers. 💙

Today we honor and remember Ricky Boyd. 💙

Since 2012, Ricky and Ann Boyd faithfully oversaw and ran our Wilmer Adult Education program, serving GED students in a hard to reach area of our community with dedication, compassion, and care. Their impact touched the lives of so many students over the years, and in recognition of their service, they received the Community Partner Award at the 2024 Annual Meeting. 👏

Ricky passed away last week after facing health challenges over the past year. We are deeply grateful for the many years he and Ann devoted to helping others reach their educational goals and build brighter futures. His legacy will continue through the lives he helped change. ✨

🏆 Platinum Seal of Transparency Awarded! 🏆

Goodwill Gulf Coast is proud to share that we have received the 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid for the second year in a row. This is the highest level of recognition for nonprofit transparency and accountability.

Candid was formed in 2019 through the merger of GuideStar and Foundation Center, and provides trusted data on more than 1.9 million nonprofits across the United States.

Earning this distinction reflects our ongoing commitment to openness, integrity, and making sure our community knows exactly how donations are used to support education, job training, employment, and life-changing services.

Thank you to our donors, shoppers, and partners who make this work possible. Your support helps us continue building stronger communities across the Gulf Coast. 💙

A big congratulations to Autumn, our Intake Coordinator in the Goodwill Autism Evaluation Clinic, on graduating from Spring Hill College with her bachelor’s degree. 🎓Autumn first joined Goodwill as an intern and spent a year and a half learning and growing with our team. Since December, she has served as the Intake Coordinator, helping families navigate the evaluation process with care and compassion. 💙

Our Autism Evaluation Clinic does so much more than provide local pediatricians with important diagnostic information. It is also a valuable resource for parents seeking answers and support as they learn whether their child may be on the autism spectrum. ✨

Congratulations, Autumn. We are so proud of you and all you have accomplished. 🌟

🎓 Mark W. earned his forklift certification! He took advantage of Goodwill's free class that covers operator training, certification, & additional credentials.

🎓 Sheila B. earned her High School Diploma Option and is starting a new job with AltaPointe! This program offers students the opportunity to receive their original diploma from the same high school they once attended no matter how many years have passed.
