The Community Foundation of South Alabama is the fourth largest endowed public charity in the region and administers more than 400 charitable funds. The Community Foundation of South Alabama provides an array of services to donors who wish to establish endowed funds without incurring the administrative and legal costs of starting independent foundations. Funds such as donor advised, restricted, field of interest, undesignated, or scholarship funds may be established from which grants can be made every year in perpetuity. Donors are also encouraged to give to the Community Endowment Fund that provides grants each year to an array of nonprofits that provide vital programs to our communities. Foundation grants include the arts, education, health, social services, civic, youth, and community. We also offer community life and charitable gift annuities for those who wish to receive a guaranteed income for life, immediate tax deduction, and leave a lasting philanthropic legacy.
