Happy Nurses Week!

Happy Nurses Week to the nurses of Alabama and across the nation!

This week, we celebrate the compassion, expertise, leadership, and dedication nurses bring to every patient, family, and community they serve. From the bedside to the classroom, from clinics to boardrooms, nurses continue to lead with courage and make a lasting impact on the health of our communities every single day.

Thank you for the long hours, the difficult decisions, the advocacy, and the unwavering commitment to caring for others. Your work matters, your voice matters, and your profession matters.

Nurses Week in Alabama will be bookended by special tributes recognizing nurses across the state. On May 12, the iconic Vulcan Park and Museum will light the Vulcan statue in red in honor of nurses and Nurses Week.

In Dothan, the Peanut statue at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds will light up in honor of nurses throughout Nurses Week. Be sure to also look for special Nurses Week messages featured on the marquee during the week.

On May 8, the fountain at the Government Plaza will light up in recognition of nurses and their contributions to communities across Alabama.

The Alabama State Nurses Association is proud to stand with and advocate for all nurses.

Happy Nurses Week! πŸ’™
