Mobile has two types of sewers: Sanitary Sewers and Storm Sewers.

These two should never mix, which is why we work hard to make repairs and update our aging infrastructure.

In 1991 a rule was passed by the EPA to protect customers from complications of lead and copper contaminants in drinking water.

The rule states that systems must monitor drinking water at customer taps. If concentrations of lead or copper exceed the action levels, steps need to be taken to protect from corrosion and inform the public of ways to protect their health.
