🐕Key Aspects of Parvo Season🐕

🐾Why It Peaks: Increased temperatures and humidity in spring and early summer allow the virus to thrive in the environment.

🐾Transmission: The virus is hardy and spreads via contact with contaminated soil, grass, water bowls, or people.

🐾Vulnerable Population: Puppies between 6 weeks and 6 months are at highest risk, particularly during the gap between losing maternal immunity and completing their vaccine series.

🐾Symptoms: Severe vomiting, bloody diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, and high fever.

🐾Prevention: Ensure puppies receive their full series of vaccinations, usually starting at 6-8 weeks of age. Keep unvaccinated puppies away from high-traffic, public areas like dog parks or pet stores.
