2023 Princess of Red Grapefruit Blossom
Serving as the Texas Citrus Fiesta Princess of Red Grapefruit Blossom was one of the greatest honors of my life. Through my year of service, I developed a deep appreciation for the Rio Grande Valley's citrus industry, the families who sustain it, and the traditions that make our community so special. I made lifelong friendships, proudly represented Texas Citrus Fiesta across the state, and discovered that being part of this organization is about much more than wearing a crown—it's about serving others and preserving our agricultural heritage.
Although my year as Princess has ended, my passion for the citrus community continues to grow. Through my work as a Girl Scout, I have continued learning about the important role native plants and pollinators play in supporting our local agriculture and citrus industry. I have also had the opportunity to learn from experts at Texas A&M AgriLife Citrus Center, where I have gained a better understanding of how water conservation, pest management, and sustainable farming practices impact citrus growers throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
As I continue to grow, I hope to become an even stronger advocate for our citrus community. My goal is to educate others about the importance of protecting our natural resources, supporting local agriculture, and ensuring that future generations understand the legacy of the Texas Citrus Fiesta and the citrus industry that has shaped our region.
I am so grateful for everything Texas Citrus Fiesta has given me. Even though my year as Princess is over, my love for our citrus community continues to grow. I can't wait to keep learning, serving my community, and one day return to the Texas Citrus Fiesta Royal Court as a Duchess. It would be such an honor to continue representing an organization that has become such a special part of my life while helping preserve the legacy of the Rio Grande Valley's citrus industry.
