Hi Everyone! We would like to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting us. We have been doing a lot of work the past few months to get everything up and going. We have been working with some amazing individuals, non-profit organizations, churches and local businesses. Our mission is simple, rescuing good food and redistribute to those in need. Hi, we're new here! 👋

My Father's Table Food Rescue is a new 501c3 non-profit in Minot, seeking to reduce food waste and hunger in our community.

Our mission is simple: rescuing good food and redistributing it to those in need.

In 2023 the North Dakota legislature unanimously amended the Good Samaritan Act to allow “apparently wholesome food” to be distributed without the risk of liability.

When our founders heard about this, they jumped into action, and My Father's Table was born!

When restaurants, kitchens, or stores have "good" food at the end of the day, it often gets tossed out. Our goal is to encourage these organizations to reach out to us instead. When we get an alert that food is available, our team goes out and picks it up and gets it redistributed. Whether it be to hungry individuals, soup kitchens, or shelters, we don't want good food to go to waste.

Now, we just need your help spreading the word! We are looking for local restaurants to partner with us, contacting us when they have leftover food that can be salvaged. If you know a local restaurant owner, please let them know about us!

In addition, as demand for our service grows, we will need more volunteers willing to pick up donations and deliver them to a storage facility. These volunteer "assignments" are all handled through our app, so you can accept an assignment on your schedule, at your leisure.

We know this is a lot of information to properly explain in a brief post, so we look forward to sharing more with you in the near future.
