Karen’s Care Package 🤝 Jody’s Hot Dogs have teamed up to give back to the community we love!

We know times are tough and the cost of living keeps rising. That’s why we’re excited to offer families a chance to kick off summer with a delicious meal and a little extra support.

Did you know that Joliet offers roughly 19 food pantries throughout the week? They also offer 12 community micro pantries! The food pantries require identification! KCP understands that not everyone is comfortable enough reaching out to us for help, therefore if you go to www.joliettownship.net All this information will be available. Stay warm!

Karen’s Care Package teamed up with The Grill at the Office (Channahon) to give the first 10 dine-in guests a FREE bowl of soup 🥣

With Cook County being so far away from our charity location, If you know anyone that is homeless in the Chicago area please reach out to The Night Ministry. They will be walking the streets this weekend in downtown Chicago. If you know anyone living in the cold please reach out to them for assistance! ❤️

With an open heart, we compassionately accept each individual as they are and work alongside them to advocate for their immediate physical, emotional, and social needs while affirming our shared humanity.

🚨 Cold Weather Assistance Alert 🚨

GRUNDY AND WILL COUNTY

👉 With wind chills expected to reach –30° this Friday, Karen’s Care Package will be hosting another Cold Weather Assistance Event.

❄️ No one should be a victim of extreme cold.
If you know someone who is outside and exposed to these dangerous conditions, please contact us immediately with a brief description of the individual and their current location.

🕓 Availability:

Thursday: After 4:00 p.m.
Friday: After 4:00 p.m.

🥹 Last weekend’s outreach was incredibly eye-opening, and because of the overwhelming need, we have invested in additional supplies to better support our community during upcoming cold weather alerts.

⚠️ Safety Notice:

Due to prior incidents, we will not be traveling east of Larkin Street in Joliet. The safety of KCP staff is our top priority.
That said, if someone in that area needs help, please still reach out—we are happy to coordinate assistance at an alternate meeting location.
