Show Uptown.

Over the past few weeks, 40+ neighbors have been showing up consistently for community walks in Uptown. Even in the cold.

That kind of energy doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because people care about this neighborhood and want to be part of its future.

We started Uptown United as a simple, volunteer-led effort to show up. Now we’re building on that momentum with the Show Uptown campaign.

The goal is simple: show up for Uptown and help show a new narrative. One that reflects the people, businesses, and energy that are still very much here.

We’re raising funds for signs, shirts, and a community rally this summer to bring people together and support local spots.

We’ve launched a simple letter-writing effort so residents can share their experiences directly with the officials responsible for conditions here. Participation has already started to build quickly.

Hi, and welcome to Uptown United.

Uptown United is a neighbor-led effort started by residents who care deeply about this place. Not just what Uptown has been, but what it can be. It grew out of recent conversations among neighbors who realized they were sharing the same concerns, frustrations, and hopes for the neighborhood.

This effort is focused on practical, realistic solutions to the issues affecting safety, livability, and the future of Uptown. It’s about moving from isolated complaints to shared goals, and then organizing around those goals in a constructive, solutions-oriented way.

We believe Uptown can be vibrant, safe, and welcoming again. Getting there will require accountability, coordination, and follow-through from the city and its partners, alongside residents who are willing to stay engaged.

We’re just getting started, and we’ll use this page to share updates, ways to get involved, and opportunities to make your voice heard. Our first initiative is a community letter-writing campaign that we're kicking off on Wednesday, January 7.
