GroundBreak exists because we believe that talent is everywhere. Vision is everywhere. Readiness is everywhere. We also recognize that opportunity is not.

Our mission is simple, but it’s transformative. To connect culture with capacity.

Narrative is so important. People are really really proud of Minnesota. They are proud of this place, and they are proud of the people that live here.

This is a place of possibility, a place of ingenuity, a place where you can plant your dreams and know that this community will help nourish it.

On Tuesday morning, our coalition gathered in North Minneapolis to mark a new milestone in our region’s wealth-building journey.

Lifting up the theme “Culture + Capacity,” our 2026 Spring Convening welcomed 200+ attendees from across sectors to celebrate the impact underway and double down on our ambitious vision. Leading the event were GroundBreak Chief Impact Officer Drinal Foster, CEO Adair Mosley, and entrepreneur and NBA champion Devean George, joined by a panel of change agents committed to erasing barriers to financial access.

Thank You to our inspiring panel and event partners, to our facility host George Modular Solutions, and to the many coalition members contributing their capital to transform our economy and our region for generations.

In his closing remarks, GroundBreak senior advisor Melvin Carter captured the momentum of the moment: “We spent years planning it… Now we get to point to it.”

A heartfelt thank you to all who were there with us — click the link to view, download, and share photos from the day!

GroundBreak Coalition had the honor of hosting Reparation Generation for a community convening rooted in shared purpose.

Their powerful model is creating a pathway for Americans who believe in reparations as a concrete act of truth, healing, and repair.

At GroundBreak, we know that closing the racial wealth gap requires more than capital deployment; it requires moral clarity about how that gap was created and who bears responsibility for closing it.

Reparation Generation is building that clarity into a replicable, community-centered model.
