Join our crew! Art Shanty Projects is currently hiring for our 2027 program.

We are specifically looking for someone with interest and experience in managing volunteers on program days, in addition to the collaborative production work of coordinating and implementing ASP program logistics.

Help make the Art Shanty village come to life and support tens of thousands of visitors!

This is a seasonal contract position with an estimated 182 hours. The majority of the work is done on site in January and February. Starting rate is $22/hour.

KICK IT WITH US!!!

Art Shanty Projects invites music-makers, poets, builders, scientists, dancers, puppeteers, writers, dreamers, activists, outdoors-people, conversationalists, silent practitioners, craftspeople, storytellers, and creative people of any kind to propose new and innovative ways to engage artistically with the public in the social context of a village on a frozen lake!

We have THREE upcoming events to support artists + performers as they prepare their proposals:
�June 17: Summer Snowcial, 6-8pm @ Sociable Cider Werks
June 25: Artist Forum, 6pm @ Powderhorn Rec Center
July 6: Dine Out Give Back @ the Lowbrow (6-8pm)

COMMUNITY ASK: we need leads on a new storage option for our beloved shanty infrastructure! (Welcome Shanty, stage, kicksleds, mailboxes, etc.)

We’re currently spending ~$8000 annually on a single storage unit. OUCH! We’re looking for more affordable options.  Maybe you have a garage you’re not using? Or know of a warehouse or other large space that has a corner for our infrastructure? We are responsible people and have insurance! We’re willing to cobble 2 options together!

Ideal specs:
✨has a garage door (not a small pedestrian door)
🚚 has drive-up access for trucks and trailers (no tight turns, no spaces embedded deep into a building)
🔑🔑 has a combo entry or multiple keys
📍 relatively near the lake (no faraway suburbs)
