This upcoming Tuesday, March 31st, 2026, we will officially launch Kore Tifi — Girls' Power.

In the South of Haiti, girls as young as 10 are learning something powerful: that strength lives within them. Members of many communities are devoted to uplifting each of them.

Through Girls' Clubs, community networks, and dedicated mentors, Kore Tifi is creating safe spaces where girls can grow, speak up, and protect themselves — and where communities are rewriting what they believe about girls' rights and dignity.

In just the first months of the program, we've already seen:
💜 673 girls actively participating in clubs across 11 communities
💜 Parents watching their daughters set boundaries and say "no" for the first time
💜 Communities openly discussing gender-based violence — topics once considered taboo
💜 85% of community members demonstrating positive changes in attitudes and behaviors

Together, we thrive further! Connect with us on Facebook this upcoming Tuesday to participate live in our official launch! Be there! and Stay tuned!

She shared some awesome snapshots of her relaxing getaway (scroll to see!), and we’re loving every minute of her adventure.

Today, we proudly celebrate the strength, spirit, and resilience woven into the red and blue of our flag. May 18th marks more than a symbol—it is a reminder of Haiti’s bold declaration of freedom, unity, and unwavering hope.

At COFHED, we honor this legacy by walking alongside rural communities in Haiti as they build a future rooted in dignity, opportunity, and self-determination. From education to leadership development, agriculture to healthcare—our work is a reflection of the courage and community that birthed this flag.

L’union fait la force.
Unity makes strength.

Let us continue to rise together, for Haiti and with Haiti.

Recovered from the holidays yet? 🎄✨ What did you get for Christmas? This year, we kept our tradition alive by providing baskets of essential goods to the most vulnerable households, ensuring they enjoyed a warm holiday meal. Plus, we distributed 128 livestock last month! A special shoutout to Ora Austria and Ora Switzerland for helping make this possible! 🧺 🐄🐑

MOFADEL (Microcredit Organization of Active Women for the Development of Lougou) which is Lougou’s female-led microlending enterprise, celebrated another year in business. The microcredit has been celebrating their anniversary/success by hosting an annual community gathering where there are expositions by their female business leaders, music, dance and revelry. Because MOFADEL has franchises in other communities near Lougou, folks from all over the local area joined in the fun.

For us working at COFHED, it’s a humbling and powerful experience to see villages come together to build their economies and celebrate their mutual accomplishments.

Today might have been the COFHED walk-a-thon but it’s also the 221st anniversary of the creation of the Haitian flag. The community of Raymond was loud and proud in their celebration as they took to the streets waving their flags and honoring the efforts of our ancestors who fought so bravely for their freedom. To our Haitian brothers and sisters, we wish you a very happy flag day - and to our supporters around the world, we thank you for standing with us and celebrating with us.
