The mission of the Mineola Dads Club is to provide parents and the surrounding community the opportunity to partner with Mineola School’s Administration, faculty, and students to enhance our student’s classroom and extracurricular experience. The belief is that students whose parents or guardians are informed about and are actively involved in the total education process will achieve higher grades and are better prepared for college, career, and community service. Through its monthly meetings and numerous activities throughout the year it is the goal of the Mineola Dads Club to build community connections and raise money to improve the experience of all students who are a part of the Mineola School District.

Please note the Mineola Dads Club is politically impartial and non-commercial. As such, we will not approve any posts that endorse political candidates, political parties, or any political event. We will not approve any posts that do not directly relate to the student life of the Mineola community. Lastly, we welcome as many members as possible, but we would prefer that the members of this Facebook group are members of the Mineola community, members of the Mineola Dads Club, current or former students, and faculty/staff of the Mineola School District. Q: How can I volunteer with the Mineola Dads Club and become a member?

A: Everyone is welcome to join and volunteer at the Mineola Dads Club. The annual membership for an entire family is $20. We are always in need of friendly people who want to support our great school district and serve the community.

Q: Is the Mineola Dads’ Club just for Dads?

A: No. Anyone can join the Mineola Dads Club. We welcome all parents in the Mineola School District to become active members in the Mineola Dads Club. Additionally we encourage any faculty member or Administrator in the Mineola School District to become a member.

Q: What will I have to do when I become a member?

A: Have fun! Volunteering with the Mineola Dads Club could mean planning the next golf outing; helping to plan our Mother/Son Dance, volunteering at an extracurricular event, or proposing your own community event.

If a “behind the scenes” role is more your style, simply being an active paid member and a supportive parent by attending our membership meetings and sharing ideas and resources is great too. Trust us, we have a job for everyone and welcome all the help we can get.

Q: Do I have to attend the Dads Club monthly meetings?

A: There is no requirement to attend the monthly meetings, although we hope that you will. Our meetings will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month between the months of September and June. The meetings will usually run about one hour and are filled with important updates about your student’s school and activities we are working on. Each month we will be looking to hold our meeting at different restaurants/bars in an effort to support the businesses in our school district.

Q: Does the Mineola Dads Club accept monetary donations as well as goods and services?

A: We sure do! Donations are always welcome and an important part of our fundraising efforts. Also, our vast network of members and outside supporters are welcome to donate goods and services that are useful to our Club and school. If you think you may know a company or individual interested in partnering with the Mineola Dads Club or making a contribution, please direct them to one of our Board Members.

Q: So how do I sign up and join the Mineola Dads Club?

A: It’s simple…come to our next monthly meeting, fill out a membership form and pay the $20 annual membership fee.
