Outsmarting the Smartphone

Join Ryan Ferreira and Michael Kelly as they discuss smartphone technology and their relation to electronic and cloud-related sources of evidence. They will discuss the major differences between the most common types of evidence collections, what data can be collected from smartphones, and some of the potential pitfalls that can occur both prior to the collection (usually due to less-than-ideal IT policies) and during the collection. This webinar is free for NALS members and $25 for non-members. Register now!

Please join us for our annual Christmas Party. You can just order off the menu. DCLP will give $20 to each member toward their dinner/drinks. Please bring your guests to celebrate with us.

We will be donating to three charities again this year: Austin’s House in Minden; FISH in Carson; and Eddy House in Reno. DCLP will donate $100 to each charity. We will pass the hat to collect more money from those in attendance if you wish.

Join us in July to hear Judge Graham from Pershing County. He is going to speak to us about Burning Man.

Burning Man was started by Larry Harvey and Jerry James 37 years ago. They first burned “The Man” on a beach in San Francisco. Today the event is held each year at the Black Rock Desert in Pershing County at the end of August.
