Our young leaders helped to provide meals to people visiting UCAP. From helping Ms. Barbara Goston organize the food, setting up the tents and tables and serving the visitors, they learned about the importance of giving back to the community. This is servant leadership in action. As the saying goes, “if service is beneath you, leadership is beyond you.” We will be providing this service once a week through June and July, and all of our participants will be taking part. We are so proud of them!

Our Summer Youth Aides completed their orientation to begin working in our summer program. They are Brayden Britton, Jamarion Levy, Matthew Anderson, Kamayiah Moore (not pictured is Justyce Cooksey). They learned about our expectations, their responsibilities, completing their paperwork and workplace ethics. Also, we welcomed a new member of our team, Ms. Aleyah Kennon, who will be gaining work experience with us through the Workforce Development Program. Looking forward to a great summer!

A busy school year wrap up at Project Reclaim! We are grateful to Bonvenu Bank and their representatives, Ms. Latina DeLoach and Ms. Katelin Weston for presenting a donation to us. Congratulations to our book report winners, Kamayiah Moore (1st place), Demiya Edwards (2nd place) and Braylin Moore (3rd place). Our TV Team interviewed Braylin Britton to learn about his freshman year of college (challenges that he faced, what classes did he take and why, managing his time, dormitory life and of course, how is the food!) Thanks to our interviewers Ave Elkins, Lamari Stanley, and Jatyriaus Franklin. Kudos also to our PR Stars of the month Matthew Anderson, Kaiden Harris, and Jkayleigh Rogers. Our Summer Program is starting June 9th. We can’t wait to get started!
