to Monona Grove High School 1981, when AFS sisters, Theresa & Gabriela were getting ready to graduate!👩🏻‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓

Theresa, now a volunteer with the AFS Milwaukee Area Team 🇺🇸, and Gabriela, of Peru 🇵🇪 reunited in Argentina 🇦🇷 to celebrate 45 years of international friendship and sisterhood. 🫂

Since AFS brought them together for senior year in Wisconsin, they have celebrated so many milestones, watched each other become moms, and gotten to know each other’s families. ❤️

Hosting an AFS exchange student is more than just a few months of having an extra kid in the house: It’s a life-long bond that brings us together across cultures and continents. 🌎

The season of goodbye parties is in full swing 😭

We sure miss our YES students. 💔 Over the last couple of weeks many of our AFS students around the country have been heading home. We are lucky to have a couple more weeks with some of ours. It’s been an amazing year! 🩵
