This January, young people from around the world will be arriving in the U.S. and making lifelong memories with a host family like yours. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to host for a semester, and experience all spring has to offer for our AFS community and our students.

It’s not too late to join our AFS family this year! These exchange students are anxiously waiting to start their adventure in the USA. You could be the host family to make their dream come true! 🫂✨

To host, all you need to provide is a bed, 3 meals a day, transportation, and an open heart. ❤️ In exchange, you get a new member of the family and an intercultural connection that lasts a lifetime. 🌎

As an AFS-USA host parent, your commitment to welcoming someone new into your home has a profound impact on so many lives—which is why we're dedicated to making the experience enriching for you and your family. From start to finish, we provide 24/7 support for host families and their exchange students. This commitment is one of the many reasons AFS-USA is a leading exchange organization in the U.S.

"One of the main reasons I’m here is because of AFS volunteers, both back home and here in our Chicago team. It’s inspiring to see people give their time and energy simply because they care. Their impact is powerful, and they’ve shown me how volunteering can make the world a better place, full of understanding, peace, and love." - Amr from Egypt, YES Student hosted in Oak Park, Illinois
