Indian Council of the Elderly is closed on Monday in observance of MLK day. Recently, the family of Menominee/Ho-Chunk artist Anthony Gauthier donated “Freedom,” a print featuring Chief Joseph and MLK. A fitting tribute to the day.

The Indian Council of the Elderly (ICOTE). is looking to hire a Part-Time Van Driver. This position is responsible for scheduling and providing transportation for Elders in Milwaukee to and from ICOTE on Meal Days and to Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center on Wednesdays, as needed.

HOURS:
Monday, Thursday and Friday - 7am to 1pm
Wednesday - 8am to 1pm (as needed)

The Van Driver must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and a good driving record. The employee must be personable, reliable, a good listener, able to work well with older adults, responsible, and respectful.

The Van Driver should have a strong familiarity with driving within Milwaukee County, as well as the physical ability to assist older adult passengers in getting into and out of the van, if needed. This is a great opportunity to work in a friendly environment and help serve the Native American community in Milwaukee.
