Honor Guard Clinics and Schools

Are you looking for a great training opportunity? Have you signed up for our upcoming class in Kansas? Registrations are rolling in and we do not want you to miss out! This clinic is designed to give everyone, from those new to the Honor Guard to seasoned veterans, extensive training on all aspects of Honor Guard. Students can expect instruction on appearance and the wear of the uniform, basic drills and ceremony, flag operations, and more. We are including Peer support in this training too.
Registration is open until September 15. Don't wait too long though, spots fill up quickly (we cap at 50) and we do not want you to miss out!

Thursday and Friday of the Milwaukee Clinic are dedicated to providing instruction on Funeral Operations. Thursday, students spend the day in the classroom learning everything from correct flag order to how to plan and execute a LODD funeral.

They are then given the opportunity to plan and prep a funeral in their squads. Leaving the classroom, we head over to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to get hands on application and practice. This allows students the ability to walk through every aspect of the funeral, from the funeral home for visitation, the chapel for the funeral service, and finally the graveside for honors rendered.

A huge thank you to the Archdiocese for hosting us and to Leaves Floral Designs and Events for the beautiful arrangements.

On Wednesday of the Milwaukee Clinic, we had the opportunity, once again, to practice dignified arrivals at the airport. We are one of, if not the only, clinic to provide this experience.

Dignified transfers at an airport do not happen often, but when they do, there is no room for uncertainty. Airports and hangars aren't built for ceremony, and they do not slow down. This is why training is necessary.

During clinic, we had the opportunity to work through those challenges in a hangar setting, practicing movement and coordination in a space not designed for this detail. We were able to problem solve, correct, and reinforce the mission behind dignified arrivals, to ensure that all of our students are ready, should the need arise.

A huge thank you to United Airlines and SkyWest for graciously allowing us to use their equipment, personnel, and their facility.
