Race and Faith We educate, promote and facilitate healthy faith based conversations on the topic of racism.

In today’s racial climate, the voice of the faith community should be heard. Grounded in the commandment to love God and our neighbor, we promote, educate and facilitate healthy conversations about racism . During our sessions, we provide an experience that allows participants to fully engage in the topic of race by examining their emotions, thoughts, beliefs and willingness to change.

More Black Joy. In more homes. In more mailboxes. In more lives.

Five years ago, I launched the Black Joy Retreat because I believed something deeply: Black Joy deserves to be nurtured, celebrated, and experienced—not just talked about.

Today, as I celebrate another trip around the sun, I'm dreaming even bigger!

I'm launching the **Black Joy Mail Club** — a monthly celebration of Black outdoor pioneers, untold stories, and simple practices that help us reclaim joy in our everyday lives.

Each month, a little Black Joy arrives right at your door!

And to celebrate five years of the Black Joy Retreat, membership is just 5 a month for the first year!

Here's my birthday wish: Help me welcome 50 members into the Black Joy Mail Club!

Join the club, gift a membership, or share this post with someone who believes in the power of Black Joy.

Because joy isn't just something we feel. It's something we cultivate, protect, and pass on!

Here's to another year of life, purpose, and spreading Black Joy!

More children from mixed-status families are being separated from their parents through detention or deportation. Researchers and advocates believe the trauma of being split up predisposes a generation to health, academic and economic consequences.

It's easy to think of elections in terms of candidates and campaigns. But elections are about people: neighbors working together in communities across Wisconsin.

In this thoughtful op-ed in the Wisconsin State Journal, Pastor Andy Twiton, a member of the LOPPW Policy Council and pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madison, reflects on elections through the lens of neighborliness.

"On Election Day, the people who check our names, hand out ballots and watch over the voting machines are our neighbors... These poll workers represent a variety of political perspectives and life experiences, and they are sworn to serve us all," he writes.

"We the people may need to be the adults in the room this election season... Perhaps we can start by learning the name of our municipal clerk, or by waving to our neighbors as we all go to cast our ballots."
