On Thursday, October 8, Region III members gathered for a regional meeting hosted by the City of Middleton and sponsored by KOMPAN!
The day kicked off with a brief networking session, followed by the Host Report and WPRA Reports. Members also had the opportunity to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through an informative presentation led by John V. Kneer, Rettler Corporation, on Court Design & Maintenance. The presentation covered valuable information, knowledge, and best practices that are essential when planning court design projects, as well as strategies for keeping courts in great condition—not only today, but for future generations.
The learning continued with a tour of several of Middleton’s newly completed parks. Members got an inside look at innovative designs, learned more about what went into each project, and gathered ideas and inspiration for future projects.
Members also had the opportunity to participate in a roundtable discussion focused on managing sports facilities and, had the chance to get out on the court for a little pickleball!
