Build Moto Mentor Program

Build Moto Mentor Program BUILD is a Moto Mentor Program based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin BUILD is a non-profit organization building trade & life skills through motorcycle fabrication.

The program offers local high school students the opportunity to be exposed to the trades while developing important business and interpersonal skills in the process. Students will learn valuable expertise, meet dedicated Mentors and, through a formal and very visible competition, be rewarded for their efforts with incentives given along the way and recognition through the display and racing of th

eir bikes. Teams from local high schools organize to design and modify a Flat Track racing bike. Each team has been matched with at least one Faculty Advisor from their school and a pair of experienced Mentors who will act as coaches and team leaders, encouraging the students to plan, design and complete their build. Teams will be judged by regional experts on design, execution and horsepower output on a chassis dynamometer. Timeline:
A 120-day build is scheduled, taking place from January through May. Teams and Mentors will meet at least once per week for the duration of the build, most likely at the participating school under the supervision of their faculty advisor or at the Mentor’s shop.
