MEN’S TALK MONDAY
GRIEF
We don't always talk about grief.
And when we do, we often think about losing someone we love.
But grief can take many forms.
The loss of a relationship. The loss of a friendship. The loss of a job or purpose. The loss of a dream. The loss of who we thought we were going to become.
And sometimes, as men, we are taught to “move on,” “stay strong,” or “get over it.”
But grief doesn't work that way.
Grief needs somewhere to go.
It can look like anger. It can look like silence. It can look like keeping busy so you don't have to feel it. It can look like saying “I'm fine” when you're anything but.
LET'S TALK.
What have you experienced that you never really allowed yourself to grieve?
What does grief look like for you?
Who can you talk to when you're hurting?
And maybe most importantly:
What would it look like to give yourself permission to grieve instead of pretending you're okay?
You don't have to grieve alone.
