Good morning and TGIF! 🐝🌼

Today I received my first denial for a grant request which, truthfully, is not at all surprising! There are so many incredible organizations doing important work throughout Delaware, and unfortunately, there simply isn’t enough funding to go around. I received such a kind email from the chair of the organization, and I’m genuinely grateful that Lola’s Littles was even considered.

That being said, we keep going! I have several more grant applications to submit, and this time I could use a little help from the families we’ve served.

Some of the applications are asking for news articles about Lola’s Littles and/or testimonials from clients who have received assistance through our pantry. We’re still a little too new and small to have any news articles written about us yet, so I’m turning to you!

If you’ve had an appointment with Lola’s Littles and would be willing to write a short testimonial about your experience, I would be SO incredibly grateful. Your words could help me show grant organizations the real impact this little pantry is already having on local families and potentially help us secure funding to serve even more!

Testimonials can absolutely be kept anonymous if you prefer! They do not need to be long or formal… just a few sentences about your experience with Lola’s Littles.

Good Morning and Happy Friday! 🐝🌼

Just a quick update…

I now have a waitlist for our pantry appointments! 🎉

We’ve had quite a few cancellations and reschedules and while I absolutely understand that life happens, it makes me sad to think that someone else could have had that spot. So here’s how it works.

When you’re booking an appointment if you don’t see an option available soon enough, you can now click “Join Waitlist”. Then you can enter any preferred dates/times within the next two weeks and if something pops up, my scheduling system will automatically send you a text to let you know there’s an appointment available. And there will be a link right within that text where you can book it.

I don’t even know where to begin with the amount of gratitude I’m feeling this week. 🥹

This week alone, a local mom has been working hard collecting donations for an incredible raffle prize that she chose to sponsor entirely on her own. 💕

Then, we received an incredibly generous donation completely out of the blue — the kind of gift that leaves you staring at it for a minute because you can’t quite believe it.

And today, I had an unexpected visitor walk through our doors with yet another incredibly generous donation simply because they wanted to support what we’re doing. Their generosity absolutely floored me.

None of these people were asked. They simply saw what Lola’s Littles is trying to do and decided they wanted to be a part of it.

I wish I could adequately put into words what that means to me.

Every donation, every item collected, every person who shares our posts, tells a friend about us, hosts a drive, or chooses to support us is helping make sure another local family has essentials when they need them.

There are some weeks that remind you just how much good there is in your community. This has been one of those weeks. 🌼🐝

🌼 We’re adding more appointments! 🌼

Since opening our doors, the response to Lola’s Littles has been incredible. Our current appointment schedule is already booked halfway through October, and I know there are more local families who could use a little extra support. 💕

✨ Lola’s Littles will now be offering THREE family appointments each week instead of two! ✨

I know it’s small, but for me that means welcoming even more families into our pantry each month and getting more essentials into the hands of those who need them. SO, if you were looking for an appointment sooner than October, please head to the link below and check out our new dates!
