Tri-Town Area Cub Scouts Den

Tri-Town Area Cub Scouts Den Scouting used to be strong in the Millinocket/ E. Millinocket/ Medway tri-town area. Over the years all packs/troops disbanded.

Now, there are kids traveling to Lincoln to be involved. If there is interest, we could bring scouts back to the tri-town!

⚜️New members can join Cub Scouts any time during the year.
For now, there are only a few Tri-Town kids involved and they are traveling to get to meetings. If more scouts and adults join, we could have dens in the area. If anyone is interested in joining or finding out more, please reach out!

If you can't make the recruitment event in Lincoln on Thursday (9/26), then come by the September Sidewalk Sale on Penobscot Ave. Sunday (9/29). I will have youth and adult applications there while the kids are selling their popcorn.

* Update: The recruitment event will be the evening of 9/26 in Lincoln. I am picking up the flyers from council tomorrow to bring around to the schools and I will post a copy of it on this FB page!

Hello everyone! For Scouting in the Tri-town area, we have a few potential options:

1. If there is enough interest and adults willing to be involved, we could start a Pack here. There are multiple places that have been charter organizations in the past that would be willing to do so again.

2. We could start Dens in the Tri-town as part of the Lincoln Pack. This would mean weekly meetings locally and once a month attending a meeting in Lincoln.

3. If parents/children are willing to travel to Mattawamkeag and Lincoln they can join the existing groups.

Currently, a couple of us have kids in a Cub Scout Pack 50 out of Lincoln. That pack has some Dens meeting in Mattawamkeag and others down in Lincoln.

For the Lincoln Pack there will be a recruitment open house coming up towards the end of Sept. If anyone is interested in joining, I highly recommend attending that meeting to get more information. There is no commitment to join if you attend. Attendance at that meeting could help us to see how many people in the Tri-town are truly interested and allow those individuals to help decide which of the above mentioned options makes the most sense currently. I will post the flyer for the open house here once it is confirmed and finalized (we are also hoping to get flyers into the local schools).
