URGENT RESCUE UPDATE: Meet Mariah. Formerly called Mariah “Hairy” at the BARCS Shelter. Yesterday, Mariah had no interest in her in the shelter before Homeward Bound Schnauzer Rescue (HBSR) stepped in. Our incredible HBSR volunteers mobilized coordinating her rescue, securing transport and finding a loving foster home where Mariah is safe. Her foster was able to get her groomed on the same day and was so matted she had to be shaved down. Who knew there was such an adorable schnauzer under all that hair? Because of this rescue team effort, Mariah now has a second chance at life. But her journey is just beginning. Mariah needs medical care, she has an injured foot and who knows what else. We need your support as we work to help her heal and find the furever home she deserves. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us cover veterinary expenses, food, supplies, and rescue costs. Hi friends, You may have wondered why you haven’t seen any facebook posts from HBSR in a while. It isn’t because we aren’t rescuing dogs it is because our social media volunteer has been having some real difficult issues. It seems like everything is back on track so we will be posting about dogs we are saving, ways you can help and stories of precious dogs and their happily ever afters.
