Oh geez! So sorry we missed Ginger Cat Appreciation Day yesterday. We were busy spaying and neutering all the flavors of cats (and one dog!). To make up for it, here’s this cute ginger kitten and her emotional support turtle!

Today we surpassed 3,000 surgeries since we opened last June. Sweet Simba, from Paws for Life Utah, was the 3,000th. Huge thanks to our amazing veterinarians, our fantastic veterinary technicians, our wonderful volunteers, and our incredible donors, supporters and friends for making this possible! And thank you to my family for all of their support!

According to my very conservative estimate, if each of those animals had had or fathered even one litter of six, we’ve helped prevent more than 18,000 animals from being born into our already saturated community. And we know they’re able to produce a lot more than one litter! Yesterday we spayed a mama cat who has already given birth to 14 kittens this year!

I’m proud to be part of the network of clinics and organizations who are all working on preventing suffering by preventing births. Prioritizing upstream solutions saves lives! 💕🐾

HUGE THANKS and sincere gratitude to the Community Fix Program, generously sponsored by the John C. Kish Foundation, which has allowed us to spay/neuter/vaccinate more than 100 community cats and kittens since the beginning of July.

These two cutest tuxedos, Stewart and Whispers, came all the way up from Helper yesterday to be fixed and vaccinated!

We are so grateful to be able to continue to help our trappers and community cats while the established voucher program is on hold. Thank you Melina and John C. Kish Foundation!
