Ever heard of a Golden Walleye?! A local fisherman recently made this one-in-a-million catch!

Golden walleye have an extremely rare mutation called "xanthism" that causes them to produce an abundance of yellow and orange pigments instead of their typical green or brassy colors. The result? A fish that looks like shimmering gold. ✨

Because of this, they stick out to predators and very few ever make it to adulthood. Catching one is truly the angling achievement of a lifetime. Congratulations and thank you to Ethan Bear and North Dakota Fishing for sharing!
