Thank you everyone who made last week’s Teacher Appreciation Week a success through donations, volunteering, and funding!! With support we were able to bring back the best TAW in over 5 years!! The PTSO is still making a come back (volunteers needed—many hands make light work), but this was a week to celebrate and enjoy the fruits of our dedication to Manchester HS and our staff!! Special shoutout to our Dean of Students Mrs. Forbes, jiji frozen custard, the SCA, Cloverhill Church, and The Faithful Lemon RVA!!!

Our 240 staff members enjoyed:

Raffle winners each day thanks to generously donated gift bag and gift cards!!

Goodie bags for each person complete with handwritten thank you cards, an office supply, candy, and a drink mix/k cup. We wanted everyone to receive a gift!

Monday: A full Panera breakfast )thanks to Clover Hill Church)!

Tuesday: Treats and refreshing fruit infused water (thank you to Walmart Chattanooga for contributing)!

Wednesday: jiji frozen custard

Thursday: Recharge snacks and drinks complete with custom drink orders from The Faithful Lemon

Friday: Our traditional cookout complete with burgers, hotdogs, sides, drinks, and desserts. Leftovers were taken to the office for staff to take pack and take home or continue to enjoy into this week

It's been a great year at Manchester HS! Our 240 staff members have poured their hearts into our students and our community. Please help help us celebrate them and all their hard work!!

Dear Manchester High School Seniors & Families,

Great news! The Manchester High School PTSO is planning to increase the number of Pete Koste Character Scholarships awarded this year—potentially doubling our recipients.

That means more opportunities for seniors to be recognized for their character, leadership, and positive impact at MHS.

⏰ Deadline: April 27 (just 6 days away!)
📍 Submit applications to Guidance

The Pete Koste Character Scholarship honors students who:

Are members of the PTSO & 1 household member
Contribute to a positive school environment
Show care and compassion for others
Demonstrate integrity in their daily lives

To apply, students will need:

An essay
A resume with extracurriculars and volunteer work
Two faculty references
Verified PTSO membership (student and/or parent)

***With more scholarships available this year, we strongly encourage all eligible seniors to apply, even if you’re unsure.***

No late or incomplete applications will be accepted, so don’t wait!

It's Day 3 of the Manchester’s Biggest Turkey Fundraiser: our fun (and friendly!) competition where teachers compete to collect the most feathers for their turkeys (on their doors)!

Donations go towards our Christmas Angels program which provides holiday meals, gifts for wishlists, and spirit stockings for students in need.

Our goal is $15,000!! Every dollar, pantry item, or gift card helps!

How to Donate:

Cash: Send to Ms. Perrotte in F102 (in a labeled envelope).

Gift Cards: Any unused card accepted — please check balances when possible.

Checks: Payable to Manchester PTSO with “Angels” in the memo.

Venmo: (include teacher name for feather credit).

Each $1 = one feather for a teacher’s turkey!

How to participate:
Donate online or drop off/send in gift cards & monetary donations/checks
Choose the teacher you want your donation to "count toward"
Watch the leaderboard to see which teacher will be crowned this year’s Biggest Turkey

Teachers compete. Families benefit. Our whole community wins.

The Christy Ellis Speech and Debate Invitational is this Saturday Nov. 22nd at Manchester HS and Bailey Bridge MS.

The debate team graciously invited us to sell concessions to the 500–600 guests expected between the two buildings. We need your help to make the most of this opportunity to raise funds for Manchester HS ( 20% of proceeds will support the debate team as well)!

Please sign up as soon as you can! Students are also encouraged to participate for volunteer hours!

Turkey & Concessions Week! Let the gobbling and the giving begin!

We have two important opportunities this week to support our Manchester community!

🦃 The Biggest Turkey Fundraiser and Tradition Is Underway!
From November 17–21, students and staff are collecting donations to support Christmas Angels, providing holiday gifts and meals for Manchester families in need.

How to Donate:

Cash: Send to Ms. Perrotte in F102 (in a labeled envelope).

Gift Cards: Any unused card accepted — please check balances when possible.

☕🍩 PTSO Concessions – Volunteers & Donations Needed This Saturday!
This Saturday, November 22nd, Manchester High School and Bailey Bridge will host the DECA Speech & Debate Tournament, with 500–600 guests expected between the two buildings.

PTSO has been invited to run concessions, and 20% of proceeds will support DECA.

We need your help to make this fundraiser a success AND to make a BIG IMPACT!
