🚨 EMERGING OVERDOSE WARNING 🚨
A powerful synthetic opioid called cychlorphine has been detected in Texas and linked to fatal overdoses across the country. It may be mixed into pills or powders without the person knowing—and multiple doses of Narcan may be needed to reverse an overdose.
We have not received confirmation that cychlorphine is circulating in Odessa or Midland. However, we are hearing something concerning directly from our own clients: more and more, people are reporting that it is taking several doses of Narcan to pull someone out of an overdose.
Those reports do not prove cychlorphine is responsible for local overdoses—but they are a warning we cannot ignore.
If someone is unresponsive or not breathing normally:
➡️ Call 911 immediately
➡️ Give Narcan
➡️ Provide rescue breaths if you are able
➡️ Give another dose every 2–3 minutes if normal breathing has not returned
➡️ Stay with them until emergency help arrives
Carry more than one dose. Don’t use alone. Never trust a pill or powder based on its appearance.
Within Reach is here and available for support. We offer overdose-prevention education, crisis intervention, Narcan, and help connecting people with treatment and other resources—without shame or judgment.
A person cannot recover if they do not survive. 💜
