You Are Already Equipped
Scripture: Exodus 4:10–12 "Moses said to the Lord, 'Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.' The Lord said to him, 'Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.'"
Reflection: Moses had a list of reasons why he was the wrong person for the job. He was not eloquent. He was not confident. He was not qualified — at least not by his own assessment.
God's response was not a pep talk. It was a reminder: I made your mouth. I will help you speak. I will teach you what to say. Now go.
Sound familiar? How many times have you told God why you are not the one? Not gifted enough. Not educated enough. Not experienced enough. Not old enough, not young enough, not connected enough, not spiritual enough.
But God does not call equipped people. He equips the people He calls. The gifts you need for your purpose are already inside you — because the same God who assigned the task designed the tools.
Stop waiting until you feel ready. You will never feel ready. Readiness is not a feeling — it is a decision. It is the moment you say, "God, I don't feel qualified, but if You are sending me, I will go."
What excuse have you been hiding behind instead of stepping into your assignment?
Prayer: Father, I lay down my excuses today. I stop telling You why I can't and start trusting You because You can. You made me. You called me. You will equip me. I don't need to be perfect — I just need to be willing. Here I am. Send me. In Jesus' name, amen.
Question to sit with: What would I attempt for God if I truly believed He would show up to help me?
