As you may or may not already be aware, our camp's founder and director, Jennifer Jordan-Strain, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of lymphoma cancer at the end of 2024 and has been receiving excellent care and treatments at MD Anderson, Houston. Her prognosis for remission is very strong, however it will still be a long road to healing and recovery in the months ahead.
Jennifer plays an integral role in many important aspects of the camp's success, and we could not envision hosting the camp this summer without her participation. It was an extremely difficult decision to make, but at the recommendation of her medical team, our camp's board, and friends and family, that we have decided to postpone our next Supergirl Summer Camp to July 13 - 17, 2026. This camp is her life's legacy and she cannot wait to return to her Supergirls to inspire them to be strong against all obstacles.
We realize this may come as a disappointment to your Supergirl, but we hope she will understand. And rest assured that our 2026 Supergirl Summer Camp will be even bigger and better than ever before. Please keep Jennifer and her family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. ❤️🎗
