What an amazing day being able to worship our Lord along side fellow believers! Colton Dixon put on a wonderful concert! Following his amazing concert he so graciously recorded a video to share with all of our Libby’s Light Shines kiddos fighting so hard! His message is so true and I pray it encourages each one of you!

Our sweet friend Karson Pender was chosen for the 2025 Cards For A Cure Recipient and we are encouraging as many people as possible to send a card with encouragement and $1 to help put a smile on this sweet boys face! Karson is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments for his recent cancer diagnosis. Karson is a 13 year old boy from southeast Alabama. Please encourage those you know and others around the country and around the world to send a card his way! Be a blessing to a child this Christmas season!

Day 18 Reality of Childhood Cancer...

This is what normal bacteria in our mouth can cause when chemotherapy knocks out all of our white blood cells to kill the cancer! You see the ancient medicines that we still have to use, because research funding is not available to help find new medicines and a cure, helps to kill the bad cells but also kills the good cells. Yes our children end up losing all of their immune system to fight off simple little infections or germs that would only make us have a runny nose or sore throat. They spend countless hours, days, weeks and even months in hospital beds fighting for their lives. This specific time this common bacteria almost killed Libby Claire, she ended up septic. Childhood Cancer is not so rare, the ones battling are just so little that their voices can not be heard! They are not old enough to vote so the political eye is not captured. Therefore we must be their voice!!! My baby deserved more than 4%!!!!!

Such an honor we had yesterday! I was surprised with this presentation after our non-profit was nominated months ago by a local loan officer, Jeffrey Abrego with Movement Mortgage! I was told many stories by amazing co-workers, foundation board members and even my sister & husband just to get me to this event yesterday. It was such an honor to be able to accept this amazing donation which will in turn benefit so many deserving families battling childhood cancer in our Wiregrass area! I am amazed and forever grateful that the Lord chooses to richly bless our efforts with Libby’s Light Shines! Our Libby Claire left a mark on this world that seems to shine brighter by the day! As long as we have breath we will never stop advocating and assisting families facing a childhood cancer journey! We will never stop advocating and fundraising for funding to assist with Childhood Cancer Research! Thank you Jeff Abrego, Karis, Abby Saliba Rogers and all of my local real estate friends & co-workers, Brittany Amuso Outlaw, Mollie Kelley Long, Shaun Cunningham and each person who made this possible!

So thankful for these two precious souls with a heart of gold! Sarah Frances came up with a new project for Libby’s Light Shines foundation! Thursday we were able to deliver the first Libby’s Loads Of Love buckets to one of the Wiregrass’s newly diagnosed cancer kiddo! This family is so precious and we have ties to this family going a good ways back! I am so thankful for this project that will stay in place for hopefully a long time! Thank you Brittany, Savannah, and Sarah Francis for helping Libby’s Light Shines help those who didn’t choose to walk the road they have been dealt!
These buckets have essentials that will be helpful to the child and families as they travel and do treatments! They also did a sibling bucket for this little ones siblings, and things for the parents! Thank you to the ones who have donated to the project by purchasing items off of the Amazon wish list! We have a fabulous community and we are so thankful for each person that contributes in any way to help us reach those with children battling cancer in the Wiregrass!

One of my dearest friends little girl is Little Miss Ozark and she came up with this idea which we are starting and will continue to do with our foundation Libby’s Light Shines! My friend was pregnant with Sarah Frances when Libby Claire was very sick and near the end. LC was so excited about getting to meet Sarah Frances but she passed about 3 months before she was born. We have always told Sarah Frances about LC and how she loved her so! This made my heart melt when Brittany called me to tell me what she wanted to start doing for our foundation kids!

It will be an ongoing project where she will fill up buckets with stuff for each one of the kids with a new diagnosis. We are going to try and make them for everyone who we currently have in the wiregrass to make sure everyone gets one as well! We are in the final hours of our campaign to get the New Promise Cancer Foundation started off!
I am so thankful for each donation that has been received! This is something very near and dear to our hearts! Today as we celebrate our risen savior and the promise of eternal life in Heaven because of what He died to give us all those years ago; I reflect on the blessings He has given me through salvation and the relationship I have with HIM! I am forever thankful for the HOPE that comes only from him, it’s what carries me everyday until He calls me home! Cancer took a huge chunk of my heart and our journey was very difficult in so many ways! But friend we never had a need that was not met, all because of the generosity of others!
That is the reason I am so passionate to make this goal or at least as close as I can! We can all together help the next person or loved one that receives the unexpected news that they have cancer…..
Jesus came to this earth and lived a perfect life for 33 years before be obedient and willing to die on a cross, crucified between sinners just like me; that EACH one of us have the opportunity to accept Him as our personal Lord and Savior that we will allow Him into our heart and change us forever! If you don’t know Him and don’t understand how to do that just reach out; any time of any day!!! There is nothing more important this side of Heaven than each one of accepting that free gift of salvation, that we may have HOPE and PEACE to know this world is not our home! But while we are here we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus! Would you consider giving any amount to the New Promise Cancer Foundation to help the next one that cancer chooses to attack!

There are only 10 days left in the kick off campaign to get New Promise Cancer Foundation off to a great start!!!

I set a personal goal to raise $7,000 in one month! Together we have raised a little over $4,000 of that! If we could raise $400 per day from today until the end of March we will meet that goal!
