The group is off to a good start. Over the last several years, the Newport County Radio Club has placed in the top 5 for the most competitive category, 2A (operating two stations simultaneously).

Radio hobbyists take over Portsmouth's Glen Park for North America's annual Field Day. Come by Saturday 2PM-Sunday 2PM. Mentors from the Newport County Radio Club will help you make contacts across the U.S.

Lots of brand-new RF-related jobs in Portsmouth, RI as Raytheon (RTX) lands $100+ Million missile defense contract. 36 job postings now showing for RTX in RI (many related to this radar project). Salary range: $86K-205K/year. How might the RI ham radio community help graduate more RI youth with solid hard/soft skills to qualify for these technical careers?

Today we're acknowledging the many global, state, and local civic contributions of Middletown ham David Brown, KC1AAA (SK) who passed away at age 94.
