Our Brave Bags at the Washington Township Department have officially been used and loved — which means it’s time for a refill. ❤️

These bags are designed to support children during emergencies and difficult moments by providing comfort items, sensory tools, communication supports, and calming activities when they need them most.

We are currently accepting donations to help restock the bags and prepare for more, so responders can continue showing up for kids in meaningful ways.

Items we are especially needing:
• Fidget toys
• Small stuffed animals
• Stickers

I have linked the Amazon Wishlist below, but we also accept lightly used/new fidgets and stuffed animals (palm pal-sized or smaller) that are not part of the wishlist as well!

What an incredible day at the Footprints of Joshua 5K, last weekend! 💛

We are so grateful to everyone who stopped by our booth, supported Lionheart Collective, asked questions, donated, and helped spread awareness about Brave Bags and our mission to support brave kids and families in our community.

A huge thank you to the organizers, supporters, and everyone who made the event so welcoming and successful. It was such an honor to be part of something so meaningful.

We’re so excited to be part of the Footprints of Joshua 5K this year! 🏃‍♀️ Come out, walk or run, and support an amazing cause—then stop by our booth to learn how we’re working to better support kids with autism and the first responders who serve them. When I started Brave Bags, I never imagined how much this mission would grow.

What began as a way to help first responders better support children with disabilities has grown into something much bigger — training departments, building partnerships, and creating connections in our community so that kids feel safe, seen, and understood, even in moments of crisis.

Because this mission has grown beyond the bags into training, outreach, and advocacy, it needed a name that captures the whole vision.

So I’m so excited to introduce the next chapter:
The Lionheart Collective.

Brave Bags will continue to be a core part of this work — now as one piece of a larger mission focused on bridging the gap between first responders and individuals with disabilities.

The Lionheart Collective exists to bring courage in chaos, compassion in action, and advocacy for those who are too often overlooked.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far. This is only the beginning.
