October is AAC Awareness Month! Our goal as a non-profit is to build bridges in moments of crisis. So this month, we raise awareness for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and support individuals who rely on communication devices or non-verbal strategies.

This past Sunday, Lionheart received the Community Impact Award from WestPoint Financial Group before the Cincinnati Reds game! This is an incredible honor and it was such a special day.

We can’t wait to see what else God has in store!

We finally have a DONATE page!

So many of our partners and supporters have asked for an easier way to give to The Lionheart Collective, and we’re excited to say it’s officially here!

Our website has been updated with a dedicated Donate page where you can support our mission and help us continue providing Brave Bags + training to first responder departments.

We are SO grateful for the people who continue to believe in this mission, cheer us on, donate, share our posts, and open doors for us. We truly couldn’t do this without you.

Our Mission

We have 30 Brave Bags to pack over the next few weeks for two departments who are getting ready to put them into the hands of their first responders.

As we continue growing, we’re always looking for the little things that make these bags possible. If you have new or gently used fidgets, small stuffed animals, kids’ sunglasses, stickers, or other sensory-friendly items sitting around that could use a new home, we would be so grateful for them!

Every donated item goes directly toward creating a Brave Bag that can help a child or adult feel a little safer, calmer, or more understood during a difficult moment.

And if donating isn’t possible right now, sharing this post helps us more than you know. 🤍

Thank you for continuing to believe in what we’re building through The Lionheart Collective. These bags may be small, but they’re making space for some really big needs.

We are so excited to share that City of Hamilton Police have requested 20 Brave Bags!

Now it’s our turn to fill them and WE NEED YOUR HELP! We specifically need 20 pairs of headphones + 20 pairs of sunglasses to make these bags happen.

If you’ve ever wanted to help us put a Brave Bag directly into the hands of a first responder, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE!

Back-to-school means a little summer decluttering!

We’re looking for new or gently used fidgets and small stuffed animals to help us keep our Brave Bags and restock bins stocked free of charge for First Responder departments.

A little Brave Bag update!

As of today, you can find Brave Bags at Morgan Township Fire and Hamilton Fire!

We’re SO excited to see these bags making their way into the hands of the people who need them and, even more, to hear the stories from the communities using them.

We’re so thankful for the departments who believe in this mission and continue to partner with us to make it happen. This is exactly why we do what we do.

And we’re just getting started!
